Jewish Singles Radio: Interview with Rabbi Noam Raucher, a spiritual life and divorce coach for men Download

As modern dating continues to evolve and dating apps lead to choice overload, men are lonelier than ever and struggling to meet the higher dating standards of single women, according to American psychologist Greg Matos. Middle-aged men are the loneliest they’ve been in generations, and it’s probably going to get worse, says Matos.

Dating industry experts say more than 62% of dating app users are men and many women are overwhelmed by the number of options they have. While you don’t actually need to be in a relationship to be happy, men typically are happier and healthier when partnered. A 2019 study from Harvard found that married men experience a reduced mortality rate, better heart health, and improved healing from cancer and other chronic diseases.
Dating opportunities for heterosexual men are diminishing as relationship standards rise. “Women are becoming increasingly more selective …and  want men who are emotionally available, good communicators, and who share their values. “Men have less patience for poor communication skills today, which is creating a relationship skills gap.
that, if not addressed, will lead to fewer dating opportunities for some men, says Matos.
Over the last 30 years, men have become an even larger portion of that growing group of long-term single people.

says, most men find themselves in The Man Box, where they are expected to be strong, successful, powerful, dominating, fearless, in control, and emotionless.

While some men are fortunate to experience midlife as a time of self-acceptance, others experience profound feelings of stress, anxiety, loneliness, and depression. If you are a man who is 40+ starting over, and looking for spiritual guidance, strength and wisdom  tune in to Jewish Singles Radio tonight or give us a call to speak with Rabbi Raucher. 888.329.3306
