Have you ever been ghosted? – Just cut off from all contact with a friend, date, employer or significant other? Social rejection is painful, especially when you are left hanging without any explanation. Of course, when you are ghosted, your first instinct is – you want to know what happened! Today on Jewish Singles Radio – my co-host Diana Pivenshteyn and me were given the silent treatment. You read that right…our ghosting expert was a no-show! Honestly, what could have been a nightmare was a great lesson in professionalism. As they say, the show must go on…and it did!
If you have been a victim of ghosting, do you start obsessing over what went wrong? Or maybe you’ve ghosted someone and you’re having second thoughts because you weren’t ready for a relationship, and you want to reconnect.
At a time when there are so many challenges and so much uncertainty in the world, when people are faced with health issues, unemployment, financial struggles, and loneliness ghosting is the new normal. So, is there a way to protect yourself from being ghosted? Maybe you missed or ignored the red flags. We all struggle with personal problems like stress, depression, self-doubt, anxiety, addiction, and worries about our health, finances, and future. But one thing is for sure, social rejection does not have to define you.
Listen to Jewish Singles Radio and our conversation about ghosting tonight and tomorrow night from 7:00PM to 8:00PM on WWDB 860AM or WFAN 97.5FM – HD2.
