A good thing can never go unnoticed, and as such we began our show with the wonderful duo of Carol Stoudt and Trevor Hayward. Carol and Trevor joined us to talk about how Evil Genius Brewing Company is resurrecting the famous and beloved craft beers from Stoudt Brewing Company. The two owners of separate breweries met a while back, and after Stoudt had closed her doors in 2020, Hayward has since reached out and the two are now working together to bring Stoudt’s Oktoberfest–and more to come–back into our beer-loving hands.
We then spoke with 2nd Street Festival’s Executive Producer, Ann Lastuvka from Virginia Belle Events and Glu Hospitality’s Director of Operations Shannon DiRaddo (representing several participating restaurants during the Festival). They joined us to let all our festival-loving listeners know about the event, what to look forward to, and all the delicious food, beverages, and activities that you can enjoy on August 7th from noon until 9pm in Philadelphia off of 2nd Street between Spring Garden and Girard Avenue. Lastly, we heard from our friend of the show, Brittany Tolliferreo, who owns the fast-casual restaurant brand Chick-A-Boom. Chick-A-Boom has been expanding, not only with their locations, but their menu as well. Tolliferreo’s savory chicken items are coupled with sweet options, including her newly released beverages, frozen treats, and of course the expansion of her chicken & waffles too. (36:26)
