We’re bringing you all the comforts that foodies love on this week’s Food, Farms, & Chefs Radio Show, beginning with Jason Green who owns Jay’s Joint 215 (formerly known as Jay’s Steak & Hoagie Joint). Jason was in-studio with us and even gifted us some of his DELICIOUS and cheese-oozing cheesesteaks, and while we gorged on his tasty treats–Gene Blum discussed everything that Jason does to bring us his amazing menu items found at Jay’s Joint 215.
And what is better than pairing some cheesesteaks with wine? Perhaps Vanessa Wong, the owner of Fishtown Social, Wahine Wines, and Fish & Whistle Market will know! And she does, especially when it comes to local and organic foods and products, including the natural wines that she offers at all of her locations! And keep an eye out on her socials because she dropped a HUGE hint coming soon (eh-hem, wine club.)–just tune in to Food, Farms, & Chefs to find out!
We then have an energetic group of ladies who co-own a New Jersey-based business that began because Jaconda Bell’s mother, and you’ll hear her positive accolades during the interview, needed to pivot how to make money after an accident. So she began bottling her scratch-made apple sauce and selling it to people she knows. After a little while, and a lot of sales, they expanded into creating several other products and began selling them through a local supermarket with the market’s Local Vendors Program. From there they branched out to selling at Farmers Markets, which is where Amaris Pollock found them and is bringing their sweet and savory products to your listening ears!
