We’ve seen this before in other cities. Philadelphia even has its own expensive cheesesteak at Barclay Prime, but this is the first Philly burger over $500. Not sure how many people have an extra $700 laying around to spend on a burger, but Philadelphia’s first most expensive burger debuts wrapped in gold.
Brother and sister owners George Tsiouris and Vasiliki Tsiouris-Balis announced a brand new burger bar and restaurant with the city’s most expensive and the city’s most affordable burger – and everything in between. Drury Beer Garden will now become DBG and change concepts to feature over 15 crushable over-the-top signature burgers including the Gold Standard Burger for $700, Happy Hour Smash Burger for $2.95, plus lamb, vegan, lamb, cheesesteak, pizza, french onion, and dessert burgers.
The menu evolution also includes a brand-new menu of appetizers and starters, side dishes, salads, handhelds, and entrees, plus a brand-new line-up of cocktails, seltzers, beers, wines, and summertime sips to pair with the new burger masterpieces. In the back, just in time for summer, DBG has all the same award-winning vibes that have gotten Drury Beer Garden national attention.
However, they are ready to debut a brand new 60-foot mural, new seating, new entrance, and upgrades to the bar. DBG officially launches Friday, May 19th with a burger giveaway. The first 50 guests at happy hour on Friday between 4:00pm to 7:00pm will enjoy a complimentary Happy Hour Smash Burger on the house. Sizzle, sizzle. Look for food, drink and DJ line-ups for Center City Sips and new nightlife line-ups and schedules coming soon. “My brother and I had so much fun creating this menu and we look forward to welcoming everyone,” said Vasiliki.
