The COVID-19 pandemic, and resulting restrictions, caused severe emotional and financial hardships to businesses throughout the Country, with the restaurant and hospitality industries being some of the most adversely affected. To help our struggling eateries, the Fishtown District was proud to work with partners like the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association (PRLA), to bring about temporary legislation to allow for outdoor dining and streeteries throughout Philadelphia, which allowed for patrons to have a reprieve from the isolation of the shutdown, while bringing essential revenue to our dining establishments. As these Ordinances are set to expire on December 31, 2021, our advocacy to make these popular restaurant additions permanent.
Join Marc and Kae as they welcome Ben Fileccia, Director of Operations & Strategy—–Philadelphia (PRLA) to discuss what is being done to preserve these popular dining options and how the public can help. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the change we want to see in our City!
