It’s the middle of the week and we’re right back in the middle of things here on Mark & Denise in the Mornings. After we went through the morning headlines. We spoke with Rachel Solomon from POWER about the organization’s planned trip https://powerinterfaith.org/calendar/#!event/2018/6/20/education-action to Harrisburg for education funding that is coming up on June 20th. Then in the 8 o’clock hour, sponsored by POWER, we talked about Black Restaurant Week http://phillybrw.com/ and it’s first trip to Philadelphia. For more insight on the event, we welcomed Ephream Seyoum & Falalyn Ferrell to the phone lines. Next up on the show was Philadelphia City Controller Rebecca Rhynhart to help us understand the report out of City Hall about city funds that are missing. The final segment of the show, we welcomed Mr Luis Torres from The Mix at Arbor Place to tell us about a story where a 10 year old was taken into handcuffs and escorted off by police.
