When you hear that sound in the morning you know it’s time to get up and get your morning started with Mark & Denise. What a show we had for you today> As you might have guessed the conversation today was mostly dominated by the incident that occurred a week ago at a Starbucks in Center City, Philadelphia resulting in the arrest of 2 young black men. Also a topic of conversation today was the MLB game between the Cleveland Indians and Minnesota Twins that took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico; as the island continues to be without power and struggle through difficult times, the baseball game was able to go on without issue. Our first guest of the morning Councilwoman Maria Quinones-Sanchez of the 7th District in Philadelphia (phlcouncil.com/MariaQSanchez) came on and talked about some of the on going issues and troubles the people are dealing with in Puerto Rico. The 8:00 hour brought to you by POWER got off to blazing start as Rosalind Brewer the COO of Starbucks joined the show and shed some light on the “incident” form last week, as well as elaborate on the training that employees will be receiving next month. Closing out today’s show was our Reporter’s Roundtable which included Jenice Armstrong of the Philly Inquirer & John Mitchell of the Phila Tribune.
