Good morning everyone and welcome to a Feel Good Friday edition of Mark & Denise in the Morning. What a show for you today to close out the week. The conversation started out talking about an incident that happened late Easter Sunday on South Street, culminating yesterday with a young mans passing, but was overshadowed in the news all week by Villanova’s National Championship victory on Monday night & parade Thursday afternoon. The event brought on a great conversation as well as bringing on some 1st time callers to the show! Also today we were joined in studio by Vanessa Thomas Smith discussing her Circus career as she is the 1st Black Woman Ringmaster in Circus history (www.yptc.com/staff-testimonials/vanessa-thomas-smith/). The Power Hour was equally entertaining & action packed, kick off with Michael Woodard an American Idol contestant from Philadelphia. Michael discussed his experience on the show so far as well as events leading up to him being selected for the show. Later in the Power Hour Asa Khalif the Leader of the Black Lives Matter Movement of Pennsylvania joined the show and talked about practicing self care.
