Thanksgiving comes once a year on the fourth Thursday in November. It's quite a holiday, filled with food, family, and reflecting on what you're grateful for. But for any reason whatsoever, you may rather celebrate at a restaurant. That's totally fine!
Tons of restaurants offer the traditional dinner fare on the holiday for both dine-in and takeout. If you want to steer clear of the hassle of cooking the meal yourself, these eateries got you covered.
So now, you can go watch the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade in the morning, then relax and have your meal cooked for you at a stellar restaurant. Home-cooked meals are great, but let the professionals handle it this year.
We strongly recommend making reservations now if you'd like a table at these spots on the holiday. They fill up fast! But, if you want to chill in sweatpants all day and just get takeout, we get that, too. We have all the options for you to choose from to get a restaurant meal in Philly on Thanksgiving.
These 6 Philadelphia restaurants are open on Thanksgiving:
Hudson Table Philadelphia
Hudson Table Philadelphia has a takeout option that is totally LEGIT! Order your feast in advance, and the day before the holiday, drop by Hudson Table to pick it all up. You get the main, sides, and dessert you'd expect on Thanksgiving.
Fogo De Chao
Fogo de Chao Philadelphia has special holiday hours. It'll be the dinner price all day, and they are open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. It's not traditional Thanksgiving fare; It'll be more of your fresh-cut, Brazilian steakhouse type of vibe, but nothing's wrong with that.
Sofitel Philadelphia
Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square is offering a great dining experience on Thanksgiving. Reserve now for the holiday! The cost per individual will be $75, with two available seating times at noon and 2 p.m., each offering a 90-minute experience.
Urban Farmer
Urban Farmer is a great option for celebrating Thanksgiving. Head there on the holiday for either a special a la carte brunch, multi-course dinner, or Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go. Their To-Go feeds 4 to 6 people, and the multi-course dinner has a prix-fixe menu.
Chima
Thanksgiving at Chima sounds amazing. Let them cook for you from 12 pm to 8 pm on the holiday. Your options include a complete Rodizio dinner AND traditional Thanksgiving food.
The Plough & The Stars
The Plough & The Stars is open on Thanksgiving Day until 2 am. They will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving menu from 12-8 pm. It's a laid-back, pub-type restaurant, so no need to dress to the nines!
