The current Party makeup of the PA House of Representatives, the Republican Party has 113 members and the Democratic Party has only 90 members. Republicans hold the majority and a little over 55 percent.

In PA there are numerous persons in the primary vying for US House of Representative seats as well as the US Senate seat of Pat Toomey. He announced he would not seek reelection thus opening door for the major parties to have 4 Democrats and 7 Republicans wanting to replace him come the November general election.
