What a Show! “Christian Music by Jewish Composers. . .and Jewish Music by Christian Composers” is the theme of next week’s show! Among the music you’ll hear will be “Holiday” Music, Schubert’s Psalm 92 (commissioned by Salomon Sulzer) and the Bernstein Mass.

Delightful Broadway star Susan Derry will be on hand to discuss her experience in performing and recording the Mass with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and Rabbi Kenneth Kanter, author of The Jews on Tin Pan Alley, will join us by phone to discuss the phenomenon of Jewish composers’ writing popular non-Jewish holiday songs.
