Broadcaster, baseball All-Star and Golden Glove winner Bill White, discussed his legendary career, his mother’s desires for his education and how he accomplished all of their goals. An eight-time All-Star, 1964 World Series Champ, Bill played for the New York and San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies. He was also a seven-time Gold Glove winner. Bill talked about his career, racism in ’60s baseball, his transition to broadcasting and his family, especially his mother, who had high hopes for him out of sports.
