With numerous awards to her name, Orsino is a celebrated fantasy novelist who crafts immersive worlds for her readers to get lost in. Her storytelling draws inspiration from a range of influences, from comic book legends like Chris Claremont, Stephanie Williams, and George Pérez, to the more eclectic: Anne Rice, Jim Henson, and Wonder Woman. Residing in the Veil with her beloved pups, Carlos and Penelope, she spends her time writing, cosplaying, ignoring reality, cheering on the NY Giants, and practicing martial arts.
But Orsino’s path hasn’t been without challenges—injuries disrupted her athletic career, she had to navigate life with dyslexia, and her unorthodox childhood. Through it all, her quirks, love of cartoons, missteps, and internal monologues were quietly preparing her for the life of an author, even if she resisted the idea. That streak of justice, born from hours of watching Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman, tested on the playground, and sharpened through martial arts, has brought her to this show.
