From the Museum of American Jewish History, Josh Perelman, Chief Curator and Director of Exhibitions, Collections and Education, and Jennifer Isakowitz, Public Relations and Digital Marketing Manager, discussed the museum‘s mission, describing history through the eyes of Jewish Americans, what they knew and how they reacted to the events, from the American revolution through today, as well as cultural contributions by Jewish Americans in art, music, science and sport. They also spoke about upcoming events for the family over the winter and holiday season, including their new program, ‘Re-Collections,’ gathering stories and memories from Jewish families across the country, from cities to the country, they also discussed their collection of historic items from the 340+ years of the Jewish American experience, including the letter George Washington wrote referring to the first Thanksgiving’ and his letter to the New York Congregation.
