When you hear that sound in the morning you know were in for some fun especially as we kick off our last show for the week. Its been a long & fun week at that as we ended the week with bang. Today we welcomed numerous guests ranging from reporters to councilwoman to a union leader. To get things started this morning we jumped continents, yes that’s right, our first guest Kiratiana Freelon a freelance multimedia journalist joined us from Brazil to talk about the fatal shooting of Brazilian Councilwomen Marielle Franco (globalkiratiana.com). Annette John-Hall a reporter for WHYY (twitter.com/AnnetteJH) kicked off the POWER hour talking about gentrification. Gabe Morgan a Union Organizer in Philly of the SEIU32BJ union came on & discussed the Civil Rights movement and its influence on Ireland (www.seiu32bj.org). Closing out not only the show but the week was Channable Latham a mother who lost her son in a hit-n-run bicycle came on to promote her charity she started in her sons remembrance.
