This morning Mark & Denise kicked things off talking about the VMA’s and the failed tribute by Madonna to Aretha Franklin. Also Kevin Hart made a controversial statement at the VMA’s in regards to taking a knee that came with some backlash. Turning to the big story of the day, which dominated most of the conversation for the first hour, was the shooting of a black male in the Tacony section of Philadelphia by Undercover officers. Asa Khalif a member of the coalition of Black Lives called in to further shed light on the incident. In the Power Hour we were joined by Kendra Cochran from Power as she discussed some things being done in preparation of the upcoming Primary Election in November.
