This week, Marc and Kae welcome Anthony and Michele Martin, founders of the Urban Youth Racing School, 1080 North Delaware Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125.
Started in 1998, the Urban Youth Racing School looks to reverse the plight of urban youth in this country by creating opportunities, igniting careers and transforming lives. UYRS partners with NASCAR, General Motors and other Motorsports sanctioning bodies to expose students to a one of a kind educational experience that leads to lucrative jobs, such as engineer, driver and pit crew workers. UYRS prepares students to embrace the depths of all academic subjects for obtaining the skills necessary for successful STEM careers. Anthony and Michele, by utilizing STEM through the lens of motorsports, have transformed the lives of so many throughout our region.
