Tieshay Cheryl also known as Respect The Mic, is a multifaceted singer/songwriter, spoken word artist, lyricist and speaker.Tieshay has had the opportunity to provide the insuring motivating opening spoken word for prominent figures such as Michael Skolnick (ActIvist/News Commentator) and Sabrina Fulton ( Trayvon Martin’s Mother). Tieshay has been a contestant on the PBS talent search with WHYY and performed as a Flo Poet for Grammy nominated artist/ writer Natalie ‘FLO’ Stewart aka The Floacist of Floetry. Most notably Tieshay has independently completed her first studio album UNSUNG BLXCKBYRD inspired by the beautiful Ms. Nina Simone. UNSUNG BLXCKBYRD has led Tieshay to be interviewed on WURD 96.1 FM and Heart of The City 860 AM, Philadelphia PA on numerous occasions.
