We had so much fun on this week’s Food, Farms, & Chefs radio show as we spoke with the multi-talented Chef, author, mentor, & entrepreneur Clara Park. Clara’s enigmatic energy infuses our episode with the joy that food brings to anyone’s smile, as her love of the culinary business shines through with each aspect of the industry she has taken on. Having been a chef at some of the most exquisite restaurants nationwide and in France, to learning (and running) the supply chains that industry leaders look to for goods, to writing cookbooks, and eventually teaching classes and being a mentor for youths at C-CAP (Careers through the Culinary Arts) –Clara Park has seen, and done, it all!
We then spoke with the lovely owners of Sundae’s Homemade located in Berlin, NJ. The husband & wife duo had their eyes set on opening an ice cream shop since they were a younger couple just starting out. And after years in another industry, they turned their auto parts store into their original dream by opening up Sundae’s Homemade ice cream shop. Since their mid-season opening day in July of 1994, this sweet spot has become a favorite to locals and beyond. Sundae’s Homemade has even found notoriety amongst regional foodies and magazines, having won “Best Of” accolades from NJ.com to SJ Magazine, and now you can add Food, Farms, & Chefs to that list!
