Episode 35 | Alive Radio Show With guest John Nicholas Peters, Master Voice Teacher Download

00:27 Download May 22nd

My special guest today is Master Voice Teacher John Nicholas Peters, also known as, The Voice Wiz.

John has been in the performing arts for over 50 years. At various times he has been a singer (opera, operetta, musical theater, jazz), opera stage director, film director, actor, Greek ethnic dancer, ballroom dancer, voice-over artist and now voice teacher, having taught voice privately in Philadelphia since 1984. He has been studying and researching vocal techniques in Europe and the United States since 1974.
He personally studied with numerous teachers, including Franghia Spiliopoulou, the teacher of mezzo-soprano Agnes Baltsa, soprano Mireig Flery who was a friend and colleague of Maria Callas, internationally acclaimed heldentenor John Mitchinson, Franco Iglesias who taught Placido Domingo, and Raymond Buckingham who taught Julia Migenes and Neil Schicoff. In addition, he has attended numerous master classes and workshops on vocal technique in Europe and the United States.
Distilling the teachings of all these talented vocal experts and numerous others, he thoroughly researched and developed a completely physiological method of training the voice which involves strengthening the specific muscles which control the singing voice while simultaneously eliminating unnecessary muscular involvement. This technique is highly effective and extremely efficient.
Many students who studied the voice for years have said that they felt they had made a year’s worth of progress in the first month of lessons with John. This technique works equally well for all styles of singing. John’s specialties include expanding and strengthening the range of the female chest voice, building a marketable singing voice completely from scratch, improving any singer’s voice far beyond what is generally considered possible and teaching all styles of singing from rock to opera with equal effectiveness.
In addition, having also worked professionally as an Opera Stage Director, John coaches repertoire  interpretation and presentation, provides vocal therapy and career counseling and participates in pre-production and co-production of vocals for student’s recording sessions.
Join us for this enlightening interview with John Nicholas Peters, where he shares voice training tools for a remarkable well-trained voice.

Jewish Perspectives on the News and Politics with Burt Siegel

This program will not hold back on what the host and his guests believe is wrong with an American society in which anti-Jewish sentiments as well as racism have become too often tolerated, where cooperation across party lines is treated as treachery, where immigrants and refugees are seen as a threat to the “American Way of Life” and the gap between the ultra wealthy and the average American is ever widening. While it will reflect the values of Judaism and the Democratic party all are welcomed to share their thoughts regarding how we can achieve the dream of what our nation aspires to be about.
