Mr. Doherty’s unique blend of empathy and expertise stems from his extensive experience and Philadelphia roots. He understands the diverse complexities faced by the individuals in his community, establishing personal connections with each client he represents. His legal journey, initiated at Delaware Law School, encompassed various legal fields, including internships at the District Attorney’s Office of Philadelphia. It was here that he began honing his advocacy skills, successfully arguing cases on behalf of the Commonwealth.

Andrew Alston is an experienced trial attorney with significant courtroom experience and a track record of trial successes. Andrew has a reputation for compassionate, effective, and honorable advocacy. He fights for the underdog, he represents individuals, and he practices client-centered advocacy in his personal injury, criminal defense, and general litigation practice.

Andrew is an Honors graduate of Gwynedd Mercy University with his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. After taking his Emergency Medical Technician training at Jefferson University Hospital, he was licensed and served in that role.

Andrew is a graduate of Temple University, Beasley School of Law. At Temple Law School, Andrew graduated with Dean’s Honor List recognition and numerous Trial Advocacy and trial performance awards. During law school, Andrew had the privilege to serve in an intern and extern clerkship in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania for Federal District Court Chief Judge Juan Sanchez as well as Federal Magistrate Judge Timothy Rice.

From Temple Law, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, Andrew received recognition for his legal service and teaching.

After law school, Andrew practiced law at one of the largest criminal defense organizations in Philadelphia where he represented hundreds of clients as lead counsel through all stages of hearings and trials—both bench and jury. He also practiced at a law firm representing personal injury victims.

To continue to refine his courtroom skills, Andrew completed an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy at Temple University, Beasley School of Law. During the LL.M. Program, Andrew received the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Courtroom Presentation and Performance.

Andrew volunteers his time to speak at continuing legal education and training programs, and he assists pro bono service projects. Outside of the law and the courtroom, Andrew enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors.
