Dr. Robert Silvetz’s interest in Individualized Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a natural outgrowth of his long interest and accomplished career in both technology and healthcare. Graduating from Boston University prestigious Six-Year Medical Program in 1989 with a Doctor of Medicine degree and B.A.’s in Computer Science and Medical Sciences, he spent the next several years implementing medical software for large integrated healthcare systems.
\nIn the mid-1990’s, Dr. Silvetz served as a member of Senior Staff for SAIC, leading complex systems integration projects for healthcare providers such as Kaiser Permanente.
\nIn 2002, Dr. Silvetz began focusing more on medical sciences, moving to San Diego to help establish a novel cancer treatment as the Chief Medical Officer of Theraphesis, Inc., that showed great effectiveness on solid tumors. Over the next ten years, he worked as an Independent Medical Consultant specializing in project management, economic utility and evaluation of medical devices.
\nIn 2012, he became the Chief Science Officer at Newport Brain Research Laboratory (NBRL), where individualized Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation was first shown to effectively treat symptoms related to PTSD, traumatic brain injury. At NBRL, Dr. Silvetz provided Practice of Medicine support to six Brain Treatment Center client clinics worldwide.
\nReturning to the Washington, DC area in 2016, Dr. Silvetz and his wife, Lorraine Silvetz, and partners, launched iSynchrony Clinics, where he is Director.
